Compliment your colleagues with Starbucks app for Microsoft Teams

Who doesn’t love a cup of coffee, especially if one of your colleagues gifts it to you? To show your colleagues your appreciation of their work or congratulate them on something, Starbucks has launched a Microsoft Teams app that lets people gift coffees, sandwiches, and muffins remotely.

As most of us had to transfer to home office, companies are trying hard to keep their employees happy and motivated at work. To be able to send out rewards, you need to download the Starbucks app on Microsoft Teams, create or sign into your Starbucks Rewards account, and click the Starbucks icon within a Teams chat or channel.

Starbucks app for Teams allows easily reward your staff or colleagues remotely with an eGift card that they can later redeem in a store. Those vouchers vary from $5 to $100. It would’ve been great if Starbucks added an option to gift your colleague a specially picked item on the menu. That way you can show how much you care and pay attention to details by remembering exactly what they like.

To get in the spirit, Starbucks offers a set of holiday-themed virtual backgrounds that are compatible with Teams, some of them feature holiday cups and a snowy store. Those designs appeared during Christmas time in 2020. We will definitely see more designs coming to the app soon.

To add a new custom background, simply download a background you like and chose it as your background when you are connecting to the video call.

Without doubt, Microsoft Teams has become a powerful platform for employee collaboration, that lets work on projects together, send approvals, conduct surveys and much more. But it has also become a platform where colleagues can keep each other’s spirits up during remote work and this isn’t any less important. High levels of productivity and quality work are very closely tied to the employees’ well-being. Thanks to the Starbucks app for Microsoft Teams, cheering up your colleagues has now become easier.

This app is not the first project of the two giants, so we should definitely be expecting more products of their collaboration in the future.
