Teams Nation is a new free community based digital event that focuses on Microsoft Teams and its essential tools. The community is based in Helsinki, Finland, and has now over 250 members, who are very diverse in their field of expertise. Some of the members are technicians, engineers, architects, adoption specialists, developers, or just people curious about technologies and software. Here you can read more about Teams Nation and its organizers.
This year Teams Nation Community Conference took place on May 12. It was divided into 11 tracks with sessions dedicated to different topics, such as productivity, meetings and calls, education, the Power Platform, as well as country-specific rooms with sessions in German and French.
The event was stretched out throughout the whole day, because some of the participants and speakers were joining from different parts of the world.
Megan and Loryan Strant used recent features or updates as examples to walk you through a process to help understand, assess, and prepare the organisation including involving key stakeholders and making decisions around Microsoft Teams.
Heather Severino showed how to take collaborative (and personal) notes with OneNote and/or Wiki in Microsoft Teams. This session included a demonstration of setting up a notebook in team channels, taking meeting notes with Wiki or OneNote, and taking personal notes with the OneNote personal app in Microsoft Teams.
Afterparty in AltSpaceVR
To round up the event, there was a virtual afterparty in AltSpaceVR, but no VR headset was required. AltspaceVR is a virtual space where you can attend live events, meetings and more with people from all over the world. You can use it with multiple VR headsets or use 2D mode on PC for a social VR experience without a headset.
